জাতীয় সংসদের বিরোধীদলীয় নেতার সঙ্গে ঢাকাস্থ জার্মান রাষ্ট্রদূতের সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ
২১ এপ্রিল (মঙ্গলবার) জাতীয় সংসদের বিরোধীদলীয় নেতা ও বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামী এর আমীর ডা. শফিকুর রহমানের সঙ্গে ঢাকাস্থ জার্মানির মান্যবর রাষ্ট্রদূত ড. রুডিগার লোটজ সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেন।
বৈঠকটি দুপুর ২টায় মাননীয় বিরোধীদলীয় নেতার সংসদীয় কার্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এ সময় তাঁর সঙ্গে ছিলেন দূতাবাসের পলিটিক্যাল ও প্রেস অফিসার শারলিনা নুজহাত কবির। বৈঠকটি অত্যন্ত আন্তরিক ও সৌহার্দ্যপূর্ণ পরিবেশে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
বৈঠকে সংসদীয় গণতন্ত্র সুসংহতকরণ, জুলাই সনদ ও গণভোট নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়। জার্মানি বাংলাদেশে সুশাসন ও জবাবদিহিতা প্রতিষ্ঠা দেখতে চায়। আমীরে জামায়াত বলেন, “বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামী জুলাই সনদ ও গণরায়ের প্রতি দায়বদ্ধ। জামায়াত গুণগত পরিবর্তন ও সংস্কার চায়, যাতে দেশে আর একদলীয় শাসন ফিরে না আসে।
এছাড়াও বৈঠকে বাংলাদেশের টেকসই গণতন্ত্র ও গণতান্ত্রিক প্রতিষ্ঠানসমূহকে আরও শক্তিশালী করার প্রয়োজনীয়তা নিয়ে গঠনমূলক আলোচনা হয়। উভয় পক্ষ ভবিষ্যতে বাংলাদেশ ও জার্মানির মধ্যে দ্বিপাক্ষিক বাণিজ্য, বিনিয়োগ ও অর্থনৈতিক সহযোগিতা এবং শিক্ষা ও দক্ষতা উন্নয়নে সহযোগিতা আরও বেগবান হবে বলে আশাবাদ ব্যক্ত করা হয়।
এ সময় মাননীয় বিরোধীদলীয় নেতা ডা. শফিকুর রহমান, এমপি’র সঙ্গে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামীর সহকারী সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল মাওলানা রফিকুল ইসলাম খান, এমপি; ঢাকা-১৪ আসনের সংসদ সদস্য ব্যারিস্টার মীর আহমাদ বিন কাসেম, এমপি; এবং বিরোধীদলীয় নেতার পররাষ্ট্রবিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা দলের সদস্য জনাব আলী আহমাদ মাবরুর।
Courtesy meeting held between the Leader of the Opposition and the German Ambassador in Dhaka
Today, 21 April (Tuesday), Honorable Ambassador of Germany to Dhaka, Dr. Rüdiger Lotz paid a courtesy call on
the Leader of the Opposition in the National Parliament and Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting took place at 2:00 PM at the parliamentary office of the Honorable Leader of the Opposition.
H.E. the German Ambassador was accompanied by the Embassy’s Political and Press Officer, Sharlina Nuzhat Kabir. The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.
Discussions focused on strengthening parliamentary democracy, as well as the July Charter and the referendum. Germany expressed its interest in ensuring good governance and accountability in Bangladesh. In response, Jamaat Ameer stated, “Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is committed to the July Charter and the will of the people. Jamaat seeks qualitative change and reforms so that one-party rule does not return in the country.”
The meeting also included constructive discussions on the need to further strengthen sustainable democracy and constitutional institutions in Bangladesh. Both sides expressed hope that bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Germany, as well as collaboration in education and skills development, would be further increased in the future.
Among others, Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan MP; adviser to the opposition leader on foreign affairs Barrister Mir Ahmad Bin Quasem MP; and Mr. Ali Ahmad Mabrur, Member of the Opposition Leader’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Team were present at the meeting.
